About IV Hydration

One of the primary benefits of IV hydration is its ability to provide rapid rehydration and replenishment of nutrients, leading to a quicker recovery and improved overall well-being. Additionally, IV therapy can be customized to address specific needs, such as boosting energy levels alleviating symptoms of hangovers or migraines, and supporting immune function.

What can I expect?

After a consultation to discuss your medical history, current symptoms, and treatment goals, your provider will use a small needle to place a flexible cannula in your arm or hand for the duration of the infusion. This means you won't have a needle in your arm the whole time - just a piece of plastic! You may feel a slight pinch or discomfort during the needle insertion, but the process is typically well-tolerated. The IV fluids will flow at a controlled rate and you'll have the opportunity to relax during the infusion, whether it's by reclining in a chair or lying down comfortably. This whole process typically takes about 30min - 1hr.

When will I start to feel the benefits and how long will the effects last?

Generally, immediate effects like improved hydration, increased energy, and symptom relief can be felt during and immediately after the IV session. For some individuals, the benefits may last for several hours to a few days, particularly if the therapy addressed acute dehydration, nutrient deficiencies, or specific symptoms like headaches or fatigue. However, the longevity of benefits may diminish over time as the body metabolizes the infused fluids and nutrients.

How often should I get treatments?

To maintain the benefits of IV therapy, some individuals may choose to undergo regular sessions or incorporate other lifestyle changes recommended by healthcare professionals, such as staying adequately hydrated, eating a balanced diet, getting sufficient rest, and managing stress. It's important to note that while IV therapy can offer immediate relief and support, it's not a substitute for long-term health habits and medical care. Individuals should consult with healthcare providers to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for their specific needs and health goals.
